In the header of every Niche Article, there are a number of so-called "tags" with information on the content of your Niche Article-mini-site.

The first tag we are going discuss is the title-tag.

The title tag displays the name of the site that will appear in the blue area at the top of the browser. It is actually the most important tag in the head area of your page.

Page titles are important to search engines. Most search engine spiders will place a higher priority on your title than other tags in the your section of your document. As mentioned earlier a well written title can increase the your CTR of each web page.

When you think about it a web page title is no different than a newspaper or advertisement headline. It must encourage people to read on!

Here a couple of things that a title MUST accomplish.

1. It must solve a problem that relates to the keyword phrase you are targeting.

2. It must compel the reader to visit your page.

3. It must contain prominently placed keywords.

Title Length

A good title should be about 6-9 words long and under 80 characters. A title that is too short will be hard to find on a search engine results page. A title that is too long will discourage Internet searchers from reading it.

Now write 5-10 titles integrating some of these “compelling” words with your targeted keyword phase.

Look at the titles you have created and ask your self these questions about each one.

a. Does it solve a problem that relates to the targeted keyword?

b. Would it make me want to visit the page?

c. Is it interesting?

d. Is the targeted keyword phrase placed prominently towards the front?

e. Is it 6-9 words long?

But there is something else you have to be aware off. Search engines may penalize you for repeating words in your title or placing a title in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS, these to practices look unprofessional and may be considered spam by search engines.
